Zamantungwa joined SERI as an attorney in October 2017. She became a senior attorney in October 2019.

She holds an LLB degree from the University of Pretoria and has completed an LLM with the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria. Zamantungwa was admitted as an attorney in 2016 after completing her articles of clerkship with the Legal Resources Centre (Cape Town) . She then joined the Legal Resources Centre (Johannesburg) in 2016 as an attorney and researcher.
